A single Icelandic horse, small against a mountain range dissolving into weather, mane thrown sideways by wind that shows no sign of relenting. She's mid-stride, muscles gathered as though bracing rather than simply moving, and the storm behind her isn't backdrop so much as the very thing shaping her posture. Icelandic horses have survived centuries of exactly this — isolation, volcanic terrain, weather with no patience for the delicate. What's captured here isn't an animal caught in bad conditions.
