A single white horse stands on black sand, the sea reduced to a pale, distant line behind her — and despite that proximity to water, the image carries no sound at all. There's a stillness here closer to Khnopff or de Chirico than to conventional wildlife photography: the flattened horizon, the isolated figure, the sense of a scene suspended outside of time rather than caught within it. High-contrast black and white strips the beach down to two tones and very little else, and within that emptiness she becomes almost otherworldly — less an animal on a shoreline, more a solitary presence placed within a dreamscape. The waves should be audible. They aren't. What remains is a silence so complete it starts to feel deliberate, as though the landscape itself were holding its breath.
All prints are produced with archival pigment inks on Hahnemühle FineArt paper for museum-grade longevity and exceptional colour accuracy.
