There are perhaps twenty super-tuskers left on the planet — elephants whose ivory can weigh over 200 pounds each, a scale that doesn't fully register until you're standing in front of one. I spent time with Craig, one of the last of them, and his presence stayed with me in a way few animals have. He died this past January. Photographing Tee-jay here, I found myself thinking less about a single elephant and more about what it means for a legacy like this to continue at all — carried forward, tusk by tusk, by whatever giants remain.
All prints are produced with archival pigment inks on Hahnemühle FineArt paper for museum-grade longevity and exceptional colour accuracy.
