As storm light collapses into silhouette, the matriarch leads her herd across Amboseli's open plain, their forms rendered not as individual animals but as one continuous, unbroken line of movement. I photograph elephants this way, in black and white, stripped of color and detail, because it is in their shape alone — the certainty of their stride, the closeness of their formation — that their story is most fully told. This is a portrait of legacy in motion, and of a family that endures, even as the sky above them darkens.
All prints are produced with archival pigment inks on Hahnemühle FineArt paper for museum-grade longevity and exceptional colour accuracy.
