Night is the harder discipline. The moment passes fast, and every shot is a compromise on shutter speed against something already disappearing. But it gives you a different kind of room — the chance to use what little light exists deliberately, to pick out what daylight would simply flatten. A breath hanging in cold air. A single edge catching the last bit of glow before it's gone. This is where my work has been heading — away from drama, toward stillness, toward the rare seconds where an animal and its landscape hold together in the dark, undisturbed.
All prints are produced with archival pigment inks on Hahnemühle FineArt paper for museum-grade longevity and exceptional colour accuracy. This was never about the buffalo in sharp focus — it was about everything moving around it. Dust lifting, insects scattering through the light, a body dissolving into its own motion. I let the shutter stay open longer than instinct wanted, and the form gave way to atmosphere.

Story Behind The Image
Three necks cross in golden backlight, dust suspended in the air like a held breath. Stripped to silhouette, the contest reads less as combat and more as choreography — movement traced in pure line and gesture, strength expressed as grace rather than force. It's a side of these animals rarely seen: not size, not power, but the quiet elegance beneath both.
